Where You Should Spend Your Marketing Budget

You already know that digital advertising is effective, but you’re not seeing results. So what do you do? This happens with many companies. They are told that they should spend money on online advertising because they will see direct results, so they rush out and spend money on multiple platforms and tools to manage their digital presence. Now they have the tools, but they aren’t sure how to use them and it’s showing no real value to their business. Maybe this is where you and your company are at. It’s time to take a step back, review your marketing budget, and look at what you’re trying to accomplish.

Assess Goals

Different companies have various goals they want their advertising to accomplish. Maybe the goal of this ad is to lead traffic to your website, for the consumer to purchase a product, to establish a larger email list, or get more reviews. Whatever you want your digital advertising to accomplish it’s important to name it.

Tools

“A ‘valuable’ tool is one that saves you money or time or makes you money or time, either directly or indirectly.” – Neil Patel There are SO many tools out there for digital marketing. But, if you’re looking for a few places to start there are a few tools that I would recommend personally: Facebook – This social networking platform has become an incredible way for companies to push ads and target their audiences with display advertising. With a Facebook ad you can narrow down your audience by choosing different categories and demographics, you are able to link to your website so the user has easy access to your products, and you can have the customer fill out a form which can be auto-filled and with their consent you will now have their information to add to your email list. Facebook can be an amazing tool, whether you choose to boost your posts or set up ads through the business manager. A helpful tip: “Social Media Today found that video ads have 135% more organic reach on Facebook.” Crazy Egg – Crazy Egg is a crazy cool tool! This website is made to show you more about the traffic that is coming to your site. For example, it can show you where the users are clicking on your site and the path they are taking to get where they want to go. It can also show you how far down customers scroll down your page and lastly it will let you know where your users are coming from and how they found your site in the first place. In a nutshell, this tool is very effective in helping you know what works on your site and what doesn’t. Having a smooth running website can often be the key to reaching your goals easier. Podium – My last suggestion for a starter tool is to look into Podium. This is a plug-in to your website that you can add which allows you to get real-time messages from customers, which in turn can lead to more leads! This tool can also provide you an opportunity to get more reviews from your customers. Through this platform you are able to send your customers a text message with information that allows them to create a review for your business with ease. So, what are you waiting for? Invest in these tools today to boost your business. It costs little money and will make your advertising budget go further than you think! And if you find the tools I suggested aren’t working for your business, try something else. There is a wealth of tools out there for your marketing efforts!
