Website Usability Case Studies

City Cabinet Center

City Cabinet Center is a kitchen and bath remodeling business based in San Diego, CA. Their exsiting website has all the information about their business, products and services but it provided poor customer experience reflected in customer feedback they gathered over last couple years. When we reviewed this website, we found that there were two distinct issues that needed attention. However, these two issues were totally unrelated.

  1. Poor User Experience
  2. Did Not Effectively Reflect Products/Services

What to Fix First?

We determined that the first issue at hand wasn't user experience but rather their product branding and marketing. Since they compete in highly competitive field of kitchen and bath remodeling, it was very important to make sure that their website and overall business marketing efforts reflected the high end design and remodeling services that they offered. Their existing website and marketing material did not do this so we recommended redesign for their website and reworking content in marketing material.

Improving User Experience

Once we had marketing message updated, it was easy to start addressing usability issues. We deployed a funnel concept in rearranging content to improve user interaction, made content easy to find and consume. New website not only retained customers longer but also improved overall conversion by generating highly relevant leads from the website.
